Eyes Wide Shut is a Yoga Nidra technique that we use to relax the tightness in our muscles, as well as emotional and mental tensions. It represents a deep and effective rest, a unique experience, completely inaccessible through everything we know and are in our everyday life. It is a practice of pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses) and mind control at the moment when the mind has immense power. “When a man is relaxed, he goes back to his true nature, knows reality, and recognises the truth” (Swami Satyananda Saraswati, Yoga Nidra). Yoga Nidra is a deep meditation in a lying position and appropriate for all ages, advanced practitioners and beginners, healthy and injured alike.
